Hey there, L.Maverick here, and today I came to talk about a game that I should have already talked about, and I came to bring it to possible people who don't know it, so let's go.
But how does this game have money to invest more and more? Well, with the gacha system, where it is optional for you to invest money in the game, whether to have a stronger character or new characters and weapons. The game was officially released for Computer, PlayStation 4, Android and iOS on September 28, 2020, in addition to these platforms there are rumors that Genshin Impact may launch for Nintendo Switch and Playstation 5, unfortunately I did not find information about the launch for Xbox.
Ah, the game is clearly inspired by Zelda, so it's not merely a coincidence.
World
The game has a world of its own called Teyvat, and its magic or powers come from a magical stone called vision, the vision bearers arise when the Gods of that world choose a person, thus allowing the bearer to use elemental abilities, each element has a specific name, follow the image below:
The interesting thing about having so many elements is that you can use different characters that use the same weapon, for example: if you like a bow character, you have, and of all elements, you can find different characters that have the same type of weapon, however, between them there are differences, whether in their power and ability and of course in the way of using the characters, there are characters that are made to deal damage and be the DPS (damage per second), others that serve as SubDPS (helps the DPS to deal more damage), and others that are Support and other Healers. As the game progresses you meet new characters and/or get them using the gacha system, so you have a variety of teams and characters to level up, which increases interaction with every little thing in the game.
Plot
The interesting thing about having so many elements is that you can use different characters that use the same weapon, for example: if you like a bow character, you have, and of all elements, you can find different characters that have the same type of weapon, however, between them there are differences, whether in their power and ability and of course in the way of using the characters, there are characters that are made to deal damage and be the DPS (damage per second), others that serve as SubDPS (helps the DPS to deal more damage), and others that are Support and other Healers. Gameplay
The game has a very complete gameplay, the character walks, runs, swims, climbs or planes, which is a differential that adds to the complete open world and full of resources, where you find something all the time and end up deviating from the main path. of the game, which is beneficial as you are sure to get more out of the game. As mentioned, the player controls 4 characters alternating between them, and can play with up to 3 friends online, each with a different or equal character, completing the story and everything else, more things to do and more characters to unlock, more than 30 Different characters to be unlocked.
There are more things that increase the interaction of the game, such as the ability to cook and also have alchemy, you gather items around the world that help you cook better food and also items that can evolve the strength of your character of better quality as well.
Sales/Reception
Already in its first weeks after launch, the game estimated more than 17 million downloads counting the Android and iOS versions, it was also the second highest selling mobile game at that time, delivering 60 million dollars. The game received a lot of awards, Google Play gave it the award for "Best Game of 2020", and Apple awarded it as "Game of the Year for iPhone" and was also nominated for Best Mobile Game at The Game Awards 2020.
My opinion
The game is free, it's an RPG, there's a lot to do, you can play with friends, in fact there's so much that I don't even know where to start. In fact, the graphics and the sound of the game are excellent, I forgot to mention, the dubbing of the characters also shines, not at all times, there are parts and missions that only appear in the subtitles and it is understandable for the variety of languages and speed they do but it's still a lack of whim, the gacha system is very inductive for you to be Pay-to-Win instead of Free-to-play but even so the game gives you emotion, to have the level of many you have to grate and the game is full of things to do so it's one good thing after another, but for those who have been playing for a long time and are in the End game, they face a serious problem, when you finish the story and level up the characters you want and from finding items and chests, you have nothing to do, of course it takes time for that to happen and with constant game updates the story appears more and makes everything exciting again, but even so if you rush, but rush a lot and do everything what you can do you arrive at this impasse.
I think the lack of things like raids and places that look like random maps in the game, or something that's addictive to the point where you're playing for a long time whether you're a beginner or a pro player is an issue, and this will continue until they come up with something definitive to address. this problem, of course the events that appear nowadays all the time help, but even so when you finish everything and wait for an update the game gets boring or very stopped.
Now I'm going to give my verdict, the game deserves an 8, and rightfully so, even I already stopped playing and when I came back I was happy with the news, so it's a fun and interesting game to play, every time you do something, when you start until the end of the game you have things to do, the game makes you feel proud to improve a character and put in the effort to level him up, which is very good.
